Media: Advertising & Marketing - Key Conventions PART 1: Skittles Advert Analysis 1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the connotations or deeper meanings of each convention?  For each convention, write about how it communicates meaning to the audience. Picture of the product , Skittles centres the advert which revolves around it.  The logo on the image of the product which informs people that the advert is Skittles, it shines bright in the middle above the clouds with great colour grading.  The slogan creates a memorable and catchy slogan that sticks in the mind of their audience. Rainbows are also commonly associated with positive emotions and joy so the use of this imagery is appealing to the audience. 2) What is the USP (unique selling point) for Skittles and how do you know?
